This 200 year-old oak still stands at Bristol Woods County Park in Bristol, WI. Native Americans would remove the branches of a young sapling and bend the tree trunk in the direction of important sites (spiritual sites, camp, trading posts, water). It is unclear what this marker was pointing towards.
